After you arrive in Male, we reccomend taking a speedboat or ferry to get to the island of Maafushi. The speedboat price varies, depending on the number of persons. Generally be prepared to pay about 150-200USD for a one-way transfer to the island if you're travelling by yourself in a private speedboat. If there are more people, this price is shared with more persons. The travel time by speedboat is about 30 minutes.

An interesting and much cheaper alternative is to take a ferry. The cost is only 2USD per person and it travels 1.5-2 hours.
